You last heard from me as I was frantically packing for a 12-day trip to British Columbia and Alaska.
It was an amazing cruise. I'd do it again in a heartbeat...except for the part when I got COVID. You heard correctly. I eventually caught it after 2+ years of quarantine, social isolation, and immunizations. The final days of the vacation included a long journey to Denali and back, as well as an overnight flight home. With allergies thrown in, I'm not sure where the vacation finished and COVID began. Aside from some residual congestion, I'm finally back on my feet and practically back to my old self...except for the brain fog. I had planned to vlog my journey. Unfortunately, the ship's wifi was never strong enough to allow me to post any footage. I also struggled with my equipment because real-world usage was more fiddly than studio tests. So, after four days of worrying about it, I put it aside until I got home. Now that I've recovered, I'm going over the footage and piecing together a video. Keep an eye out. A heatwave welcomed me back to Ontario. So I'm switching to summer sewing to take advantage of the warm weather. That means putting a couple of large projects on hold and focusing on some smaller ones. I finished all of the baby quilts I started in January.
